Switched to Gmail but Worried About Moving Years of Office 365 Emails?

A few weeks ago, our company decided to move away from Microsoft 365 because most of our daily work had already shifted to Google Workspace. At first, I thought transferring emails would be simple, but once I started checking mailbox sizes and folders, I realized it wasn't as straightforward as expected. I wanted to Migrate Office 365 to Gmail without losing folder hierarchy, attachments, or important conversations collected over several years. The manual IMAP approach worked for a few folders, but it became painfully slow when handling larger mailboxes. I also noticed that calendars and other mailbox items weren't transferred properly, which meant extra manual work later.

After searching through different forums, many users suggested avoiding manual migration for business data because interruptions or incorrect settings could leave mailboxes incomplete. I eventually tested the DRS Softech Office 365 Backup Tool, and the experience was much smoother than I expected. It allowed me to connect both accounts securely, preview mailbox folders, apply date filters, and migrate only the required data instead of moving everything. The folder structure, email formatting, attachments, and metadata remained exactly the same after migration.

If anyone here is planning an Office 365 to Gmail migration, especially for large business mailboxes, I'd strongly recommend testing the process on a small mailbox first before migrating everything. A proper migration strategy saves hours of troubleshooting later and greatly reduces the chances of missing important emails during the transition.
