Howei is seeking active, responsible and enthusiastic Event Crew to support and coordinate our unique activities, sports events, workshops, community programmes and experiential events.

Howei’s mission is to promote fun and outdoor activities through our digital channels, and assist and support local events to encourage healthy living and social harmony in our local community.

As a gig-based Event Crew member, you will have the flexibility to apply for available event assignments based on your availability, location and interests. Each event is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, meet new people and be part of exciting experiences happening with Howei. 

Knowledge in event organisation and public relations is helpful. Experience in working closely with organisers and event parties will be needed along with strong teamwork.

• Assist with event setup, registration and preparation before the event.
• Welcome and guide participants, guests and partners.
• Manage registration, check-in and participant enquiries.
• Coordinate activity stations, games, workshops or event zones.
• Assist with crowd flow, queue management and participant safety.
• Distribute race kits, event materials, merchandise or refreshments.
• Support event organisers, facilitators and vendors with onsite requirements.
• Assist with basic photography, videography or social media content where required.
• Monitor event activities and report any issues to the Event Coordinator.
• Assist with event breakdown, packing and post-event logistics.
• Represent Howei professionally and help create a fun, safe and memorable experience for participants

• At least 16 years old (subject to the requirements of each event).
• Friendly, energetic and comfortable interacting with people.
• Responsible, punctual and able to follow instructions.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Physically able to stand and move around for extended periods during events.
• Comfortable working on weekends, public holidays, early mornings or evenings depending on the event.
• Able to communicate in English and/or Bahasa Malaysia. Additional languages such as Mandarin, Hokkien or Tamil are an advantage.
• Have access to reliable transportation or are able to arrange their own travel to the event venue.
• Previous event experience is an advantage, but training and guidance will be provided for suitable applicants.
