I am considering switching email hosting providers and would prefer to transfer my existing mailbox directly rather than download everything and import it manually. I need the Inbox, Sent Items, custom folders, and attachments to remain organized after the move.

While researching IMAP migration options, I found the DRS Softech IMAP Backup Tool. It supports direct server-to-server transfers, as well as migration to Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. The Batch mode with CSV-based mailbox mapping could be helpful for moving several accounts, while Single mode appears more suitable for smaller jobs.

It also supports local PST and OST files, which could be useful for handling older Outlook archives separately. One thing I would verify before choosing a solution is which mailbox items are supported, since standard IMAP migration generally focuses on email rather than contacts, calendars, and tasks.
