13 hours agoI have an old OLM archive from Outlook for Mac that I need to share with colleagues who use Windows. Installing Outlook for Mac just to open an old mailbox seems unnecessary, especially because I only need readable copies of the emails for reference and documentation.
I looked into the manual method, which involves importing the OLM file into Legacy Outlook for Mac, opening each email, and using the Print to PDF option. That might work for a handful of messages, but it sounds exhausting when dealing with hundreds or thousands of emails.
While searching for a simpler approach, I found the Aryson OLM File Converter. It can read OLM files directly without requiring the initial import into Outlook for Mac. It also supports batch loading through individual file selection, folder selection, or drag and drop.
The preview option is useful because I can inspect email bodies, attachments, headers, and other mailbox information before exporting. I also noticed that the software supports other formats, including PST, MBOX, EML, MSG, CSV, DOCX, PNG, ICS, and VCF, which could be helpful for future requirements.
Has anyone tried converting an entire Mac Outlook archive this way? I'd like to know how well the original email content and folder organization are handled, and whether checking a few sample PDFs before processing the complete mailbox is enough to catch common issues.
