Ng Yi Jing

I am Ng Yi Jing, 13 years old, studying at SMJK Chung Ling. The artwork I am presenting is titled “Fragments of Porcelain Memories”. “Fragments of porcelain” refer to broken pieces of ceramic — not only remnants of material objects but also witnesses of time. Porcelain once symbolized completeness, delicacy, and cultural brilliance, while these “fragments” represent what has been eroded by time and forgotten by history. “Memory” allows these shards to be more than mere broken objects; they become vessels that carry stories — they still remember their original forms, colors, and meanings. Each piece of imperfection holds traces of forgotten history and emotion.

Title: Eternal Love, Captured in Timeless Art A 400-year-old piece of porcelain, preserved for an eternity yet it isn’t merely the beauty that moves me. It is the soul beneath the surface — the quiet strength, the determination and depth of Love it carries. In every curve and glaze, I feel the craftsman’s heartbeat — his persistence, his passion, his devotion, his Love. Each piece holds more than art; it holds a promise, a whisper of what once was — Love shaped by human hands. Porcelain becomes more than history, it becomes a bridge between hearts, a connection between two souls across time, linking the past, the present, and the future through the most fragile yet everlasting thing of all — love.

I explore life’s vibrancy through acrylics. My paintings invite viewers into a world where inner perception meets outer form, where each brushstroke captures not just what is seen, but what is felt. Art is a meditative dialogue with life itself. Each stroke is both a release and a revelation. Through every creation, I seek to express the spiritual pulse that flows beneath everyday existence.

Nur Nafeesah Al Hawra' Binti Suhaimi

Al Hawra’ is a neurodivergent artist who has been living with dyslexia and ADHD. She is now at the age of 10, viewing the world through her unique lens, she often challenges the ordinary—sparking thoughtful conversations and bold ideas. But rather than debating with words, she pours her perspective into her art. From a young age, she’s been deeply drawn to colours, often spending her free time immersed in colouring. As a kinesthetics learner drawing is one way for her to calm herself down after doing various daily activities. The way she sees things daily makes her art more vibrant hence she draws whimsical buildings, playful scenes and everything in between. As she takes her daily life easy, that’s how she interpreted those to her creations with happy thoughts and happy hues too. Each creation invites others to see the world as she does: vibrant, layered, and full of meaning. Artwork Title: Sea Deeper Medium: Acrylic and pen on canvas The artwork is inspired by the surreal sunset where one of the boats represent the emotion of love and happiness all over. With the other vessel that resembles a fantastical cruise ship that carrying animals and nature to represents how both are really related. The ocean waves with the different type of current under the sea showing the sea is alive with rhythm. And if you see deeper, there are beautiful and interesting creatures as well as hidden treasures. A radiant chest sits nestled in seaweed that makes one thinking at mystery, adventure, or perhaps a valuable treasure which include memories and big dreams.

Muhammad Zayn Al'abideen Bin Suhaimi

Zayn is a vibrant neurodivergent artist who channels his unique perspective and boundless energy into the world of sketching and doodling; a passion that sparked as early as age three. What began with charming renditions of buildings and hand-drawn maps has grown into a vivid artistic journey where any surface, even a front door, becomes a canvas. With pencils in hand and imagination in full flight, Zayn who is now 13, finds joy and calm in his creations. Adding colour is his favourite part—it brings his sketches to life and fills his world with excitement. In his own words, “Drawing gives me a piece of mind and makes me calm.” Zayn’s art isn’t just a hobby—it’s his voice, his safe space, and his way of connecting with the world. Title of the artwork: The Enormous Life Medium: Acrylic on canvas. This piece is actually representing on how we look at the life itself. The ship sailing on the calm sea with the birds chirping shows how the world is at peace in one look. They are vessels of hope and heritage, reminders that life is an uncertain journey. However, if you dive in deeper, there are actually many sceneries and scenarios that you can find and look at. If you go deeper inside until the bottom, you might be lucky to find beautiful hidden gems! The hidden gems that might makes your dreams come true, that might make you find your true colours or even that might make you sit back and flash back at the old memories; the good, the bad and everything in between. Whatever that you might find and faced, those are all for your own good and destined written from the above. Life is not meant to be muted. It is meant to be felt, remembered, and celebrated.

Dream Fragments (《海藏之梦》) 30 × 30 cm Chinese ink and color on paper Inspired by the relics of sunken porcelain, this piece drifts between dream and remembrance. The flowing ink and gentle waves echo the fragility of time and the quiet resilience hidden beneath the sea. Nora Foo is a Malaysia-based creative and mother who found her way into Chinese painting as a practice of mindfulness and calm. The Moonwake's Solitude No. 1《月醒孤航》 Acrylic on canvas 30cm x 30cm When I painted The Moonwake’s Solitude No. 1, I imagined the quiet beauty of a lone sailor adrift beneath the moonlight surrounded by the vastness of the Nanhai. To me, the calm sea and glowing sky reflect both solitude and strength just like a moment of stillness where the past and present seem to meet. I wanted to capture the feeling of being small yet deeply connected to something greater, just as the ancient seafarers once were when they followed the same moon across open waters, not knowing to nowhere but with the trust of the only light which is the "moon". I wish this piece will represent the Nanhai waters carrying stories of sailors and dreamers who once journeyed across the waves, stories of those who once sailed its waves. A reminder of how solitude can feel both gentle and powerful at the same time. Pang Wai En, known artistically as Melody, is a Penang-based amateur painter whose works explore solitude, memory, and quiet strength through the language of light and atmosphere. Her artistic vision is deeply reflective, blending her background in storytelling with her sensitivity toward mood and symbolism. Through each brushstroke, she translates emotion into atmosphere, light, and space, capturing what words cannot. Exhibitions & Projects Hosted “Find Your Inner Colour: An Art Explore”, Group Session, Dreamer Haven Art Café, 2025 Participated in AQUA MARINE EXHIBITION: PENANG’S BLUE HAVEN – LIFE BENEATH THE SURFACE, Penang State Museum, 2025

Norhartini Haron

I’m Tini Haron. Subang Jaya is home but my mind often moves between extremes. In 2024, I turned to art not for fame, but for survival. Diagnosed with Bipolar disorder type 1, I found clarity in chaos and transmitted it in every brushstroke. Artwork Title: Blue & White, Abundance & Good Fortune This artwork is inspired by love and features characters reminiscent of blue and white porcelain found on the bed of the South China Sea, dating back 400 years. As I delve into the depths of the sea in my mind, I envision seafarers resting together, accompanied by the Foo dogs, which are guardians in Chinese culture. An orchid (Lanhua) is placed near the seafarers' inhalation organs, known in Chinese tradition as a heavenly fragrance. Lingzhi, the fungus revered for its supernatural medicinal properties, floats nearby, symbolizing immortality when consumed. An antique vase, filled with sunflowers that represent prosperity, luck, and long life, dances atop a shipwreck. The delicate toes of a ballerina resemble a long-lived deer, and a magnificent, confident long-necked peacock glides gracefully through the deep waters. An enormous, coiled dragon watches from above, seemingly controlling time. The Ruyi head, peeking out and swimming among the remnants of the shipwreck, serves as the central decorative symbol, conveying the wish, "May your wish be granted."
