And now, the long-awaited George Town Heritage Walk 2026 is finally here.

This year, we invite you to journey through the soulful streets and hidden lanes filled with stories, memories, and traditions that shaped the lives of our ancestors and the identity of Penangites today. More than just a walk, this is a heartfelt celebration of the city we proudly call home.

Unlike previous years, this edition of the George Town Heritage Walk invites participants to experience the evolving transformation of George Town — a magical city where heritage and modernity coexist in harmony. As one of the city’s signature annual community events, the walk goes beyond culture and architecture, bringing together people of all ages, races, nationalities, and backgrounds through a shared journey across streets filled with stories, murals, shophouses, temples, aromas, and everyday conversations. Along the way, strangers become friends, memories are created, and the timeless spirit of one of Southeast Asia’s most treasured heritage cities comes alive once again.
