Mechanism of event :

Participants will complete the quest by solving clues at the Penang History Gallery and taking selfies with 5 mural art around George Town area - travelling by Rapid Penang buses or Rapid On Demand van.

Participants will submit the answers and selfies at Terminal Jetty B for the final check-in and prize ceremony.

Each participant will receive a food pack and food vouchers at the end of the event.

Participants are required to have their Mutiara Pass with them throughout the Event to be used to pay the required bus fare for the Event; or prepare the exact amount of cash to pay the bus fare.

Terms and Conditions of Participation
1. The Jom Naik Bas & Xplore event (“Event”) is organised by Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd
(“Organiser”) and will take place on Sunday, 30th November 2025 (“Event Date”).
2. The Event is open to all Malaysian citizens aged from eighteen (18) to sixty (60) years
old only who are existing subscribers of the Mutiara Pass issued and sold by the
Organiser (save and except any individual who is an employee or officer of Prasarana
Malaysia Berhad, or of any of its affiliates or subsidiaries (including the Organiser))
(“Eligible Participants”).
3. The Event shall be conducted in the following manner:
a) Eligible Participants are required to form a team of two (2) individuals whereby all
team members must be Eligible Participants and have been registered in
accordance with Clause 4 (“Participating Team”) (each Eligible Participant who
has successfully registered for the Event in accordance with Clause 4 and are not
disqualified for any reason whatsoever shall be individually referred to as
Participants”);
b) all Participants of the respective Participating Teams are required to present
themselves at 8.00a.m. on the Event Date at Penang Jetty Bus Terminal B, Weld
Quay,Jalan Pengkalan Weld, George Town, 10300 Pulau Pinang(“Event
Location”) and are required to be dressed in appropriate sports attire. Any
Participating Teams that do not present themselves on or before 8.30a.m. on the
Event Date shall be disqualified and the Registration Fee paid (hereinafter
defined) shall be forfeited;
c) the Event is based on a ‘treasure hunt’ or ‘scavenger hunt’ mechanics whereby
each Participating Team will be given a set of clues and/or instructions throughout
the Event (which will be communicated to the Participating Teams in both English
and Bahasa Melayu) and the Participating Teams are required to complete tasks
or challenges, solve clues, and/or answer questions while travelling to the
Checkpoints (hereinafter defined), which involves indoor and/or outdoor activities
(collectively the “Tasks”);
d) the Participating Teams will be awarded with points for the completion of Tasks
based on speed of completion, accuracy of answers and/or other evaluation
criteria as determined by the Organiser;
e) the Participating Teams shall be required to embark and travel on Rapid Penang
buses only from the Event Location to Penang History Gallery located at 95,
Bishop St, Georgetown, 10200 George Town, Pulau Pinang to complete specific
Tasks at the Penang History Gallery and thereafter search and locate three (3)
mural paintings around George Town, Penang area based on the clues/or
instructions provided during the Event to complete other Tasks(“Checkpoints”) and thereafter return to the Event Location after completing the Tasks using either
a Rapid Penang Bus or a Rapid On-Demand van only. For the avoidance of doubt,
the Participating Teams are permitted to visit the Checkpoints and complete and
complete the Tasks in any order ;
f) the Participants are required to have their Mutiara Pass with them throughout the
Event to be used to pay the required bus fare for the Event;
g) the Participants shall be required to take “selfie” photos of themselves embarking
and travelling on Rapid Penang buses or Rapid On-Demand van during the Event
as evidence for the Event;
h) the top three (3) Participating Teams with the highest points collected during the
Event will be deemed as winners of the Event (“Winners”);
i) the Winners will receive the following prize(s) based on the points collected:
i. First Place – Ringgit Malaysia Five Hundred(RM500.00) only;
ii. Second Place – Ringgit Malaysia Four Hundred Hundred (RM400.00) only;
iii. Third Place – Ringgit Malaysia Three Hundred (RM300.00) only; and
(individually referred to as the “Prize” and collectively referred to as the “Prizes”);
and
j) for the avoidance of doubt, the Prizes are given per Participating Team, and not
per Participant.
4. To participate in the Event, Eligible Participants are required to register their
participation online through www.howei.com, which may be made accessible via the
Organiser’s social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram), website or
promotional materials, and pay a registration fee of Ringgit Malaysia Sixty (RM30.00)
only per Participating Team (“Registration Fee”). The Organiser will provide the proof
of payment of the Registration Fee via the e-mail provided during registration. The
Registration Fee is non-refundable. The number of Participants are limited to fifty (50)
Participants or twenty-five (25) Participating Teams (“Maximum Participants”).
Registration shall be closed once the Maximum Participants have been achieved.
5. Eligible Participants are solely responsible for ensuring that their personal particulars,
contact details and e-mail address registered are accurate and up to date.
6. Registration will be opened to Eligible Participants from 10 th November 2025 and will
close on 28th November 2025 at 11.59p.m. The Organiser will not accept or entertain
any registrations submitted after 11.59p.m. on 28th November 2025. For the avoidance
of doubt, the Organiser reserves the right to amend the foregoing timelines at its sole
discretion.
7. The Organiser will provide the Participants with:
a) complimentary breakfast and lunch during the Event; and
b) Krispy Kreme Cash voucher amounting to Ringgit Malaysia Twenty (RM20.00)
only for each Participant.
8. Participants shall have sufficient and adequate health and fitness levels to participate
in the Event. The Organiser shall not be liable or responsible for any death, personal
injuries or health issues suffered by the Participants during the Event. The Participants
warrants and represents that they are aware of the risks associated with their
participation in the Event, including serious physical trauma, injuries, or death.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, in the event that the Organiser discovers or deems any
Participant to be unfit or determines that their participation in the Event is inappropriate
or unsafe for any reason whatsoever, the Organiser shall reserve the right to disqualify
such Participant and/or Participating Team without any liability whatsoever to the said
Participant and/or Participating Team.
9. Throughout the Event, the Participants shall not:
a) conduct themselves in such manner, perform any act or gesture or utter any words
or statements which are sexual in nature, whether explicitly or suggestive;
b) participate in the Event under the influence of drugs or in an intoxicated manner;
c) behave unnecessarily violent, offensive, obscene or is derogatory of any ethnic,
racial, gender, religious, professional or age group;
d) promote whether directly or indirectly, alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco,
firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing);
e) promote any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous;
f) promote any particular political agenda or message; and/or
g) violate any applicable laws.
10. The Organiser shall not be held responsible or liable for any misdirected or
unsuccessful attempts to award the Winner with the Prize resulting from the
Participant’s failure to accurately submit the necessary details and particulars, in the
manner set out in these terms and conditions.
11. The Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and/or non-negotiable. The
Organiser reserves the right to substitute the Prizes with another of similar or lesser
value at its sole discretion without any prior notice. All Winners determined by the
Organiser are deemed final and shall not be disputed, challenged or appealed by any
Participant for any reason whatsoever.
12. By participating in the Event, you (the Participant) confirm, consent and agree:
a) to abide and be bound by the terms and conditions of the Event including any
amendments or variations thereto as well as any decisions made by the
Organiser;
b) for the Organiser to collect, record, hold, store, use, process, and disclose your
personal data (hereinafter defined) for purposes which are necessary or related
to your participation in the Event and for such purposes such rights shall extend
to the Organiser’s contractors, subsidiaries, affiliates, associated companies,
and/or related corporations (as defined under Section 7 of the Companies Act
2016) (“Related Entities”) in accordance with the Organiser’s privacy notice
which can be accessed at https://myrapid.com.my/pdpa-notice/ (“Privacy
Notice”). Please read the Privacy Notice carefully as it governs our collection and
use of your personal data;
c) for the Organiser to disclose or publish your personal data such as your name,
identities, and any general information that the Organiser deems fit, on any media,
marketing, or advertising materials;
d) to grant the Organiser the absolute and unrestricted right to modify, use and
publish any still or moving images and written caption of the Participants for any
promotional, marketing, commercial, or other related purpose, without any
payment or compensation; and
e) that all personal information and data (“personal data”) submitted by the
Participant to the Organiser are accurate and up to date. The Participant hereby
gives his/her consent to the Organiser and the Related Entities to process and/or
use any of the Participant’s data and to release the same to the Organiser’s
existing, future business partners and/or strategic alliances and/or any other third
party as the Organiser may in its absolute discretion deem necessary or expedient
for the purpose of marketing and promotion of its products and services. Further
and in addition thereto, the Participant hereby confirms that no further permission
nor consent from the Participant would be necessary or required in relation thereto
and that this shall constitute consent for the collection, processing and storage of
the Participant’s personal data and shall be in accordance with the Personal Data
Protection Act 2010 and any subsequent amendments thereto (“PDPA”).
13. The Organiser reserves the right to reject any entry or disqualify any Participant without
assigning any reasons whatsoever and reserves the absolute right to cancel, terminate
or suspend the Event with or without any prior notice and/or assigning any reason. For
the avoidance of doubt, cancellation, termination or suspension by the Organiser shall
not entitle you to any claim or compensation against the Organiser for any and/or all
losses or damages suffered or incurred as a direct or indirect result of the act of
cancellation, termination or suspension.
14. The Organiser and its Related Entities shall not be held responsible or liable for any
loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of
profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained
(whether or not arising from any person's negligence) in connection with the Event (in
which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).15.
The terms and conditions contained herein shall prevail over any inconsistent terms,
conditions, provisions or representations contained in any other promotional or
advertising materials for the Event.
16. The Organiser reserves the absolute right to vary, delete or add to any of the terms
and conditions of the Event in this document (wholly or in part) from time to time without
any prior notice to the Participants. The Organiser’s decision in relation to all aspects
of the Event is deemed final, binding and conclusive under any circumstances and no
correspondence, complaint or appeal whatsoever will be entertained.
17. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed or interpreted in
accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute, controversy, claim or difference
arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions, or the breach,
termination or invalidity thereof (“Dispute”) shall be settled, in so far as it is possible,
by mutual consultation and consent. Parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction
of the courts of Malaysia in respect of any Dispute.
18. No failure or delay by the Organiser in exercising any right, power or privilege under
these terms and conditions will operate as a waiver or an estoppel thereof, nor will any
single or partial exercise thereof preclude any other or further exercise thereof or the
exercise of any right, power or privilege hereunder.
19. If any provision hereunder is held to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable under present
or future laws, such provision shall be fully severable and these terms and conditions
shall be construed and enforced as if such illegal, invalid or unenforceable provision
had never comprised a part hereof and the remaining provisions shall remain in full
force and effect and shall not be affected by the illegal, invalid or unenforceable
provision or by its severance herefrom.
20. The Participants shall not assign any right under these terms and conditions or transfer
its obligations hereunder without the prior written consent of the Organiser. The
Participants hereby consents to the Organiser assigning or transferring its rights and
obligations hereunder without notice to the Participants and the Participants shall do
all that is reasonably necessary to give effect to such assignment or transfer.
21. The Event terms and conditions are provided in both English and Bahasa Malaysia
versions. In the event of inconsistencies between the two versions, the English version
shall prevail.
22. The terms and conditions which are expressed so or which by their very nature are
meant to survive the termination or expiry of the Event shall so survive. Without
derogation to the foregoing, this Clause 22 and Clauses 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18
and 21 shall survive the termination or expiry of the Event.
23. By registering for the Event in accordance with Clause 4 hereof, the Eligible
Participants, Participants and Participating Team hereby unconditionally and
unequivocally agrees and confirms to be bound by this terms and conditions and any
amendments thereto.
