Weather Alert: SQ-DTT 109 Event Cancellation 05:25

Dear participants,

With sincere regret, we must announce that today's SQ Duathlon Event (SQ-DTT 109) scheduled for Sunday, April 13th has been cancelled due to the heavy rainfall in the Tanjung Bunga area.

The safety of our participants is our highest priority, and current weather conditions have made it impossible to ensure everyone's wellbeing during the event. We understand this news comes as a disappointment, especially for those who have trained diligently and traveled to join us.

We humbly ask for your understanding during this unfortunate situation. Our team is deeply sorry for any inconvenience this cancellation may cause to your plans and preparations.

Our next event is scheduled for Sunday, May 11th, and we hope to welcome you all under better conditions.

Straits Quay Duathlon

 

Welcome to SQDTT, this is community based duathlon monthly training on every 2nd Sunday.
We will do looping (1 loop = 3km) and the distance are:
1. Long sqdtt : 6km Run - 30km Bike - 6km Run
2. Short sqdtt : 3km Run - 15km Bike - 3km Run
*Newbie/ first timer are most welcome!*
- This training is FOC
- It is suitable for beginner, no worry, we will wait you
- You can learn from those senior and experience duathletes
- We need the volunteer for time keeping; beginner, first timer and senior are welcome.
Venue:
Penang Straits Quay (in front Sam's Deli)
Time:
6.15am for 6:30am Flag-Off
Route:
Using the same loop (1 loop about 3km) :-
1. Full sqdtt : Run 6km (2 loops) - Bike 30km (10 loops, please count by yourself) - Run 6km (2 loops)
2. Half sqdtt : Run 3km (1 loops) - Bike 15km (5 loops, please count by yourself) - Run 3km (1 loops)
Loop:
-Starting from SQ heading south (towards Island Plaza), U-turn at 2nd traffic light, head north (towards Tesco), U-turn at Tesco car park entrance back to SQ, that's 1 Loop of 3km.
- You just need to loop into transition during changing from run to bike or bike to run (otherwise just loop at outside), and please shout your number to us for time keeping

1. Bike
2. Helmet
3. Bike light (back and front)
4. Bike shoes
5. Running shoes
6. Water for yourself
7. Isotonic drink (1 x 1.5L) for potluck and/or donations to SQ-DTT
8. Happy mood for training
