Four decades ago, on 2 August 1986, the people of Tanjong made history during the 7th General Election, marking the beginning of what became known as the "Tanjong Battle" and a significant chapter in Penang's democratic journey.

Since then, Tanjong has remained a symbol of the people's trust, democratic participation, and commitment to good governance.

As part of the Tanjong@40 celebration and the 60th Anniversary of DAP Malaysia, we invite the public to join us in commemorating 40 years of history, service, and community spirit.

Join us as we walk together to honour the past, celebrate the present, and look towards the future of Tanjong.
